Research Electronics Inc.
Research Electronics International (REI) is an American developer and
manfuacturer of equipment for
Technical Surveillance and Counter Measures (TSCM),
based in Cookeville (Tennissee, USA).
REI is the manufacturer of well-known devices, such as the
CPM-700 bug scanner, the ORION Non-Linear Junction
Detector (NLJD) and the
OSCOR range
of computer-controlled bug finders.
REI was one of the first companies to introduce a Non-Linear Junction
Detector (NLJD) in the US. Their SuperScout NLJD was on the market for
many years and was sold to many coutries for finding inactive
eavesdropping devices.
Back in the 1980s they were also known for their clever TSCM tools,
like the TRD-800 recorder detector.
