Rundfunk- und Fernmelde-Technik
RFT was a consortium of state-owned companies (VEB) in the former DDR (East
Germany) during the Cold War. The name RFT is the abbreviation of Rundfunk-
und Fernmeldetechnik (broadcast and communications technology),
but the group
of companies was also known for its (secret) intelligence communications.
